mqsideletebroker command

Use the mqsideletebroker command to delete a named integration node. The command also deletes the queues on the associated queue manager (created when the integration node was created). You can also specify that the queue manager is to be deleted.

Purpose

The mqsideletebroker command:
  • On Windows platforms, stops the service that runs the integration node.
  • Deletes the administrative security queues that are associated with the integration node, if requested.
  • Removes the record for the component in the registry.
  • On z/OS only, you can delete the queue manager that is associated with the integration node.

If you delete an integration node that has WebSphere® MQ publish/subscribe integration node neighbors, you must also run the clrmqbrk on each of these neighbors. You must identify the integration node that you are deleting on this command.

Usage notes

If you run the command against a component that does not exist (for example, the component has already been deleted, or you mistyped the component name), the command returns with a successful completion message. The command does not inform you that the component does not exist.

You cannot delete an integration node to which you have an open connection; the command fails.

Authorization

For information about platform-specific authorizations, see the following topics: If you have enabled integration node administration security, you must also set up the authority that is detailed in Tasks and authorizations for administration security.
