STEPNAME
The processes
BIPSERVICE and BIPBROKER are
in the same address space (control address space). After an Integration
Server address space is started on z/OS,
the STEPNAME of the address space has the following value:- The last eight characters are taken from the Integration Server label.
- Any lowercase characters are folded to uppercase.
- Any non alphanumeric characters are changed to the character @.
- If the first character is not an alpha character, it is changed
to
A.
The STEPNAME is not guaranteed to be a unique value. However, you are strongly recommended to ensure that the last eight characters of any Integration Server labels that are deployed to a z/OS integration node are unique, and contain only alphanumeric characters; note that an Integration Server label has a maximum size of 3000 bytes.
