WebSphere ESB conversion tool technical overview

The WebSphere® ESB conversion tool converts WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus development resources into IBM® Integration Bus development resources.

In IBM Integration Bus, you can use the WebSphere ESB conversion tool to convert WebSphere ESB mediation modules and libraries that are produced by WebSphere Integration Developer version 6.2, WebSphere Integration Developer version 7, IBM Integration Designer version 7.5, and later development versions.

• A WebSphere ESB mediation module is converted as follows:
  • An IBM Integration Bus integration service if the mediation module has one export with a Web Service binding, one mediation flow component with a single interface, and no other imports, exports, or components.
  • An IBM Integration Bus application otherwise.
• A WebSphere ESB library is converted to an IBM Integration Bus library.
