In IBM Integration Bus, you can
convert a WebSphere Enterprise Service
Bus mediation module
into an application or an integration service manually.
- An integration service is a specialized application with a defined interface that acts as a container for a web services solution. An integration service contains subflows to implement the specified service operations. The interface is defined by using WSDL. The transport protocol that is supported is SOAP over HTTP. - An application is a container for all the resources that are required to create an integration solution. For more information, see Applications.
In WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus, a service is defined in terms of a WSDL service interface, regardless of the message formats or protocols.
