Saving Subsets of Variables

The Save Data As Variables dialog box allows you to select the variables that you want saved in the new data file. By default, all variables will be saved. Deselect the variables that you don't want to save, or click Drop All and then select the variables that you want to save.

Visible Only. Selects only variables in variable sets currently in use. See the topic Using variable sets to show and hide variables for more information.

To Save a Subset of Variables

1. Make the Data Editor the active window (click anywhere in the window to make it active).
2. From the menus choose:

   File > Save As...

3. Click Variables.
4. Select the variables that you want to save.
