IBM SPSS Statistics - Essentials for R includes the IBM SPSS Statistics - Integration Plug-in for R and a set of extension commands that are implemented in R that provide capabilities beyond what is available with built-in SPSS Statistics procedures. Essentials for R does not include the R programming language. Before installing IBM SPSS Statistics - Essentials for R you will need to install R version 3.1 if it is not already installed. It is available from http://www.r-project.org/. It is recommended to download and install R 3.1.0.

The IBM SPSS Statistics - Integration Plug-in for Python is included with IBM SPSS Statistics - Essentials for Python, which is installed by default with your IBM SPSS Statistics product. Essentials for Python also includes Python version 2.7 on all supported operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OS, and UNIX for IBM SPSS Statistics Server) and a set of extension commands that are implemented in Python that provide capabilities beyond what is available with built-in SPSS Statistics procedures.
To get the IBM SPSS Statistics - Integration Plug-in for Microsoft .NET
The IBM SPSS Statistics - Integration Plug-in for Microsoft .NET is provided with your IBM SPSS Statistics product. It is only available for Windows.
The IBM SPSS Statistics - Integration Plug-in for Microsoft .NET requires the Microsoft .NET 3.5 or .NET 4 Framework. You can check whether the required Microsoft .NET Framework is installed from Add or Remove Programs, available from the Windows Control Panel.
