Programming Interface information A transportable file is a sequential file containing one or more transportable programs (converted program objects). It consists of a header, one or more transportable programs, and a trailer. The header indicates the beginning of the file, and the trailer indicates the end of the file. A transportable program contains the program object data. The overall file structure is shown in Figure 1. Each of the partitions indicated in the figure represents a logical record. The content and structure of each type of the logical records is described in the remainder of this section.
