Sending normal information

Normal information includes normal data and normal indications. Normal information can be transmitted by the application program, and includes normal data such as logical records. Application programs cannot actually send normal indications. Normal indications are the result of macroinstructions or the result of information initiated by VTAM® or intervening network components. See Comparing normal information to expedited information for more information about normal and expedited information.

The following sections describe sending logical record data and indications as normal information.
