VTAM® offers three levels of data encryption:
NONE
Data encryption is not requested.
Note: VTAM may be capable of providing encryption even though it is not requested.
SELECTIVE
Data encryption is available. The application indicates which data it wants to have encrypted.
REQUIRED
All data on the session must be encrypted.
