The MODIFY SMTP command provides an interactive interface
to the SMTP server that allows you to do the following:
- Query the operating statistics of the SMTP server
- Query the SMTP mail delivery queues
- Perform privileged system administration tasks such as shutting
down the SMTP server and enabling or disabling various tracing and
debugging options
