Final register contents

The routine must leave the register status as follows:

Registers 0–14:

Restored to entry contents.

Register 15:

Return code:

X'0': Processing successfully completed.
X'01'–X'7F': Exit processing did not work. The session management exit remains active.

In addition to these specific return codes, there are other codes that control the exit's disablement. See Final register contents for more information about those codes.

Note: A return code that is not valid (that is, a nonzero return code) does not affect processing. VTAM® issues message IST793E.
