Steps for adding a new certificate template

Perform the following steps to add a new certificate template:

Review the contents of the certificate templates provided with PKI Services to determine the one that most closely approximates the certificate template you want to add.

After you have determined the certificate template to use as a model, copy the section defining the model template in the certificate templates file.

Provide a new name, alias, and, if present, nickname for the certificate template.
