Defining work qualifiers

You can use masking and wild card notation to group qualifiers that share a common substring. For work qualifiers that run longer than 8 characters, you can use a start position to indicate how far to index into the character string. When no start parameter is specified, WLM matches the name field for work qualifiers that run longer than 8 characters according to the number of characters specified. Table 1 shows which work qualifiers are supported by each IBM-defined subsystem.

Note: For subsystem type STC, you can use Subsystem Parameter as a work qualifier. However, you cannot use Subsystem Parameter Groups as a work qualifier.
