Contact an IBM® representative for purchasing zAAPs for your server. zAAPs can only be purchased as an additional Processor Unit (PU) for your server. That is, you cannot convert a standard central processor (CP) you already have acquired to a zAAP.
You may order zAAPs up to the number of permanently purchased CPs, on a given machine model. The number of zAAPs ordered may not exceed the limit of available engines in the machine model.
It is possible to concurrently install temporary capacity by ordering On/Off Capacity on Demand Active zAAPs. The number of On/Off Capacity on Demand zAAPs that you may rent is limited by the number of permanently purchased zAAPs on a given server. On/Off Capacity on Demand zAAPs may not exceed the number of permanently purchased zAAPs on a server.
