Explanation
A permanent I/O error occurred when the system
tried to read the volume label for the volume mounted on the specified
device.
In the message text:
- dev
- The device number.
- cm
- The operation code of the channel command word (CCW) that was
running when the error occurred.
- stat
- The status portion of the subchannel status word (SCSW).
- sens
- The first 2 bytes of sense data for the error condition. The system
only provides this data when a unit check occurs.
- bbbbbb
- The remaining sense data. The system only provides this data when
a unit check occurs.
System action
The system issues message IOS192A.
Operator response
Dismount the volume on the device. Then respond
to message IOS192A.
