Outstanding WTO messages have used all of the available buffer space. Some WTOs is discarded.
The system processes only WTO messages that might be critical to relieving the buffer shortage, such as responses to the D C,B and D R commands. All other WTO messages are discarded. Discarded messages are not sent to the console.
Commands issued while WTO storage is exhausted are executed, but command response messages are not displayed or logged except for responses to D C,B and D R commands.
JES3 monitors some command responses to update status for devices and jobs. Because these command responses are not issued JES3 is unable to process the status changes. When buffer space becomes available, the system issues message IEA655I.
If an address space has accumulated a large number of messages, follow the response for message IEA099A. Otherwise, follow the system programmer response for message IEA404A.
