Explanation
During inventory management expiration processing,
DFSMSrmm could not determine the status of volume actions and movements
from the DFSMSrmm control data set.
In the message text: return_code
Is the return code from the DFSMSrmm inventory management function.
reason-code
Is the reason code from the DFSMSrmm inventory management function.

System action
Inventory management processing stops. DFSMSrmm
abnormally ends with abend code U2440, and the system writes an SVC
dump.

Operator response
Inform the system programmer.

System programmer response
If the return_code is
20, this relates to a problem while performing I/O to the DFSMSrmm
control data set. If this is a problem that you can identify and correct,
do so. Otherwise, report the problem to the IBM® Support Center. See z/OS DFSMSrmm Diagnosis Guide 
for information on the code U2440.
