Explanation
Device support software has detected that the
VOLSER or VTOC location for the volume has changed because of one
of the following operations:
- DSS COPY
- RESTORE
- ICKDSF REFORMAT NEWVTOC
In the message text:

- volser
System action
The UCB for the device has NOT been updated to reflect the new VOLSER or VTOC location.
Operator response
Attempt to VARY the device OFFLINE then ONLINE.
System programmer response
Messages issued by VARY explain the reason for the VARY failure. If they do not, issue a F DEVMAN,DUMP and search problem reporting data bases for a fix for the error. If no fix exists, report the problem to the IBM® Support Center.
