Explanation

The APPC/MVS administration utility encountered an error while trying to open a data set.

In the message text:
ddname
The name of the data set that the APPC/MVS administration utility could not open is one of the following:
  • SYSSDLIB
  • SYSSDOUT
  • SYSPRINT

System action

The job fails.

User response

If the data set is SYSSDLIB, it is the Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) key sequenced data set (KSDS) that contains the transaction program (TP) profile or side information entries. For information about opening a VSAM KSDS, see z/OS DFSMS Access Method Services Commands.
