Explanation
A FlashCopy® request
detected that the target device is in CE mode or the device status
is not known. This could be the result of FlashCopy Establish request that was issued
with the REMOTE(YES) keyword and the TARGET device cannot be used
as the FlashCopy target
because of one of the following conditions:
- The target serial number is not the same as the PPRC secondary
device serial number.
- The target lss is not valid for the PPRC secondary subsystem.
- The target cca or lun is not valid for the PPRC secondary subsystem.
- If the Target device is a CKD device, the SSID ssid is not the
same as the PPRC secondary device ssid.
System action
System programmer response
This error is returned from the ESS
subsystem when the device is in CE mode, or the status is not known
to the ESS. If this is the result of an establish with the REMOTE(YES)
keyword, make sure the PPRC Secondary device information is the same
as the REMOTE FlashCopy TARGET
device information. After making any changes or corrections, resubmit
the FlashCopy Establish
request. Call hardware support if the condition cannot be cleared.
