A PPRC Establish Pair request was made to an ESS subsystem, but the ESS reported that the secondary device has a path group connection to some host. A host system can have the secondary device online.
The command is rejected.
Confirmthat the secondary device is not online to any host system attached to the ESS device. Use the DEVSERV command to query the path status of the device form all host systems. Use the VARY OFFLINE command to remove the path group connection. Optionally, if the secondary device is not being accessed by any host system, the ONLINSEC(YES) keyword can be used to complete the Establish pair. Ensure that the secondary device is correctly specified. Reissue the Establish pair command.
