Use the FlashCopy query request to determine the status of the source device specified on the FlashCopy establish request. See z/OS DFSMS Advanced Copy Services for examples of FlashCopy query output. The FlashCopy query output does not provide information about a track basis, but you can be able to make this determination based on the extents you specified on the establish request. Resubmit the request. If the request continues to fail, search problem reporting databases for a fix for the problem. If no fix exists, contact the IBM® Support Center.
