Use the FlashCopy query request to determine the current status of the source and target devices specified on the Flashcopy establish request. See z/OS DFSMS Advanced Copy Services for examples of FlashCopy query output. Resubmit the FlashCopy establish request when the FlashCopy output for the device indicates that the maximum number of active relationships for the device are no longer being used. If the request continues to fail, search problem reporting databases for a fix for the problem. If no fix exists, contact the IBM® Support Center.
