Explanation

This message indicates that the requested operation cannot be performed. Either:
  • The operation name or one (or more) of the parameters is not valid. For example, a parameter value might contain characters other than valid hexadecimal characters.
  • An error occurred on a previous operation preventing the current operation.

System action

If an error occurred processing a NAME or CCHHR statement in an earlier operation, no VERIFY or REP operations will be performed until a NAME, CCHHR, DUMP, DUMPT, ABSDUMP, or ABSDUMPT statement is processed successfully. If the error occurred in a previous VERIFY or REP statement, only REP statements will be bypassed until a NAME or CCHHR statement is performed successfully.
