The generalized trace facility (GTF) must run as a system task. The program properties table (PPT) indicated that GTF was started as a problem program. This situation was probably caused by starting GTF from the card reader.
The system abnormally ends GTF.
After the system programmer has fixed the PPT, restart GTF from the system console as described in z/OS MVS Diagnosis: Tools and Service Aids.
