To write a UIM, you need to:

• Be familiar with the characteristics of your I/O unit
• Decide what validation checks are required for your I/O unit
• Specify a name for your UIM
• Create your UIM. See Sample of a Unit Information Module (UIM) and change it according to your requirements.
• Create your UDT. See Sample of a Unit Data Table (UDT) and change it according to your requirements.
• Write the help support.
