Reply IDs and RMAX z/OS MVS Planning: Operations SA23-1390-00 |

The RMAX value determines the maximum number of reply IDs that
an operator can use to respond to WTOR messages. Using the short form
of the JES2 REPLY command, the operator can omit the comma, but the
system might misinterpret the command depending on the RMAX value.
For example, if RMAX is 99, and the operator enters the following:

Using the JES3 form of the REPLY command, an operator must use
a comma to separate the reply ID from the command text:
