Purpose: Use the /*OUTPUT statement to specify characteristics and options for one or more sysout data sets. This statement supplies processing options in addition to and in place of the options specified on the sysout DD statement. Note: You should use the OUTPUT JCL statement instead of the JES2
/*OUTPUT statement because of the OUTPUT JCL statement’s enhanced
output processing capabilities.
