AMP parameter

Parameter type

Keyword, optional

Purpose

Use the AMP parameter to complete information for a VSAM data set.

AMP is supported only for VSAM data sets.

Note: With SMS, you can create new VSAM data sets with JCL DD statements. See the DATACLAS parameter and the RECORG parameter.
