There are three ways to request that the system write a message
to the system log:
- Your installation may have specified, through SYS1.PARMLIB, that
all messages appear at the device that is the hard-copy log.
- Use the WTL (Write-to-Log) macro.
- Use the HRDCPY option on the MCSFLAG parameter on the WTO macro.
IBM® recommends that you use
the WTO macro to write to the system log.
