A program running in a subspace cannot reference storage that is subspace-eligible but not assigned to the program's subspace. If a program attempts to reference this storage, the program will incur either a page translation exception or a segment translation exception, and the program will abnormally end with an X'0C4' system completion code. This abend occurs when the subspace-eligible storage is not assigned to the program's subspace at the time of error.
