Retaining volumes by specific volume serial number

z/OS DFSMSrmm Managing and Using Removable Media

Use a full volume serial number to retain a volume. A full volume serial number has one to six alphanumeric characters, or $, #, and @, or special characters.

To retain the volume AS0001 for five days, issue: 
RMM ADDVRS VOLUME(AS0001) COUNT(5)
