Scheduling DFSMSrmm utilities

z/OS DFSMSrmm Implementation and Customization Guide
SC23-6874-00

You can schedule each DFSMSrmm utility to run on its own, or schedule many activities to run together in a sequence. You can schedule activities such as vital records processing to be performed daily. Other activities can be scheduled less frequently, for example on a weekly basis. You can use a job scheduling product like the IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler for z/OS to run the utilities. See Running DFSMSrmm with the IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler for z/OS for information about using the IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler for z/OS for scheduling DFSMSrmm utilities.

Table 1 suggests how frequently to run DFSMSrmm utilities. References are listed to help you locate the information about the utilities.
