Windows recommendations and limitations

For Windows users, it is recommended to use Connectivity Kerberos or MIT Leash Kerberos Ticket Manager with OpenText Maestro NFS client. For more information on OpenText NFS Maestro client and the configurations of the Kerberos on Windows platform, see the OpenText NFS Maestro User’s Guide. If the z/OS NFS server security site attribute is set to SAF or SAFEXP, the only supported authentication level on Windows platform is authsys. RPCSEC_GSS authentication levels, such as krb5, krb5i, and krb5p, are not supported because OpenText NFS Maestro 10 and higher requires NIS/NIS+ or LDAP with Kerberos instead of PCNFSD, which serves as the mvslogin tool for Windows platform. This restriction has been lifted with the addition of mvslogin elimination with RPC_SECGSS mounts in z/OS NFS V1R11.
