Deleting an external link

z/OS Network File System Guide and Reference

The external link file object is deleted with the remove request: 
rm /samples/linkfile,"extlink"
rm /samples/linkfile

Either rm command results in the z/OS UNIX external link file object alone being removed. The target MVS data set is not affected.
