Use the mvslogout command to disconnect from the z/OS host. The mvslogout command is only required when the mvslogin command was used to begin the connection. An mvslogout to an z/OS user ID cancels a prior mvslogin to the same z/OS user ID from the same local host. Your account is automatically logged out if it is inactive for the period of time specified in the logout site attribute. Table 1 shows an example of the mvslogout command for some clients, in which the name of the z/OS host is mvshost1.
If you log out successfully, a message like this appears:
