Data set recovery is the process of copying a backup version back to a user DASD volume. Anywhere from one to 64 individual data set recovery tasks can be performed concurrently, as defined by the installation. A storage administrator can enter a data set recover command to perform
the following recovery tasks:
Users can enter data set recover commands to recover only their own data sets, either the latest, or a specific version. The data recovered can come from either dump or incremental backup volumes. |
