Using the BLKUPD command z/OS Security Server RACF Diagnosis Guide GA32-0886-00 |

Use the BLKUPD command to access the RACF® database. Do not use BLKUPD during hours of peak activity on the active RACF database because the command uses hardware RESERVES or enqueues (GRS ENQs) to serialize access to the database. The Syntax of the BLKUPD command
where racfbname specifies the name of a data set in the RACF database. The name can be from 1 to 44 characters. If the name is not specified, the RACF database must be allocated to the TSO session with the SYSRACF file name. |
