Protecting system data sets

Create data set profiles to protect your system data sets. These should include the data sets described in Table 1, as well as other data sets that your installation considers sensitive. The following are some candidates:

    • Nucleus, SVCLIB, LPALIB
    • Spool and paging data sets
    • APF-authorized libraries
    • Master catalog

  • Sensitive data
    • Corporate trade secrets
    • Research results
    • Employee data
    • Customer or client lists
  • Production libraries
    • PROCLIBs
    • LOADLIBs
  • Application development programs and data
