Attributes of the RACF parameter library

z/OS Security Server RACF System Programmer's Guide

The RACF® parameter library must have the following attributes:
  • Partitioned data set
  • Cannot be a partitioned data set extended (PDSE)
  • RECFM = FB
  • LRECL = 80
  • BLKSIZE = a multiple of 80
  • Must be cataloged in the master catalog or an ICF user catalog, or the volume serial number must be specified on the DD statement
