z/OS DFSORT Messages, Codes and Diagnosis Guide

This chapter discusses the types of messages DFSORT produces and explains how to print messages and control statements, write messages to the master console, and find control statement coding errors.

DFSORT produces three types of messages:

Different messages might be issued for the same error situation, depending upon which DFSORT technique is used.
