Recovery for this exit depends on the environment that invokes
the exit:
- Main task
- If general purpose subtasks are attached then the subtask ESTAE
is in effect. If no general purpose subtasks are attached and you
specified UNCOND=YES, then the $SUBIT $ESTAE is in effect.
- FSS
- ESTAE recovery is in effect.
- USER
- JES2 fails the request and SSI $ESTAE recovery is in effect.
However, as with every exit, your exit routine
should
not depend on JES2 for recovery. JES2 cannot anticipate the exact
purpose of your exit routine and can therefore provide no more than
minimal recovery. Your exit routine should provide its own recovery.
