DBCS subcommands

z/OS Communications Server: IP User's Guide and Commands

DBCS data sets are transferred using the standard FTP subcommands PUT and GET. However, before the transfer commences, the current transfer type for the session must be set to the required DBCS type. To set the transfer type to DBCS for an FTP session, you must issue the appropriate FTP subcommand to the client or the server, depending on where the DBCS conversion is to be done. The FTP subcommands for DBCS support are listed in Table 1.
