The EXITDIRECTION statement in the hlq.SMTP.CONFIG file has been set. Depending on the parameters following the statement, SMTP will modify its behavior regarding when to call the customer supplied SMTP exit program.

direction is the direction when the exit program is called. Valid options are INBOUND or BOTH.

saf indicates if SAF information is requested. saf appears only if direction is BOTH. Valid options are SAFYES or SAFNO
