date time Connection closed at IP addr: ipaddress reason: errmsg (msgnum) ExplanationThe connection was closed either by the local SMTP client or the remote SMTP server. This might occur due to normal networking problems or because the remote SMTP is not active. Depending on the error, SMTP might try to resend the mail at a later time. This message appears in the output file that is associated with the OUTPUT DD statement for the SMTPPROC. date is the date (month/day/year) that the connection was closed. time is the time (hours:minutes:seconds) that the connection was closed. ipaddress is the TCP/IP address of the remote SMTP server. errmsg is the text of the message that describes the error. msgnum is the 4-digit numeric portion of the message identifier of the EZA message whose text is displayed in errmsg.
