PROTOCOL: lmodetype = lmodetype linemode = linemode useline useline

Explanation

lmodetype signifies whether the client handle real linemode or if use of kludgelinemode is needed. It will be set to one of the following:
  • 0x04 REAL-LINEMODE - use the linemode option
  • 0x03 KLUDGE-OK
  • 0x02 NO-AUTOKLUDGE
  • 0x01 KLUDGE-LINMEODE - use kludge linemode
  • 0x00 NO-LINMODE - client is ignorant of linemode

linemode is true if linemode is currently on.

uselinemode is the state that we wish to be in.
