The steps described in this topic help you to configure your system to enable
the SMP/E RECEIVE ORDER command. After you perform the described tasks,
you can run the RECEIVE ORDER command to order and download PTFs and
HOLDDATA from the IBM® Automated
Service Delivery server. Here is a summary of the steps:
- Obtain a user certificate:
- Go to ShopzSeries to generate a user certificate and download
the certificate file to your workstation.
- Transfer the certificate file to your z/OS® system as binary data and store as a sequential
data set with RECFM=VB and LRECL=256 or greater.
- Set up z/OS security server
(RACF®):
- Ensure that your user ID has appropriate RACF access to create key rings and add certificates.
- Create a RACF key ring.
- Alter the GeoTrust CA certificate to mark it trusted.
- Connect the GeoTrust CA certificate to your key ring.
- Add the user certificate to the RACF data
base.
- Connect the user certificate to your key ring.
- Setup for using Java™:
- Ensure IBM SDK for z/OS, Java 2
Technology Edition, Version 1.4 with PTF UK04987 is installed on your z/OS system (level 1.4.2).
- Specify the Java runtime
directory on the javahome attribute in the CLIENT data set for the
RECEIVE ORDER command.
- Specify the SMP/E Java application
classes directory on the classpath attribute in the CLIENT data set
for the RECEIVE ORDER command.
- Setup for network configuration:
- If necessary, identify your HTTP proxy server in the CLIENT data
set for the RECEIVE ORDER command.
- If necessary, identify your FTP firewall server and navigation
commands in the CLIENT data set for the RECEIVE ORDER command.
