The SHIFT > macro command moves the body of a program statement to the right without shifting the label or comments. This command prevents loss of nonblank characters by stopping before shifting nonblank characters past the bound. See Shifting data for more information. DescriptionThe SHIFT > command is limited to shifting data on a single line. To shift data on several lines, you must shift data on each line individually. Return codes
