Importing I/O configuration statements

In connected mode, you can use the dialog shown in Figure 1 to import/migrate I/O configuration statements or IOCP input data into an IODF. You can select whether the specified input data will be taken from the host or from the workstation.

To display this dialog, choose IODFs from the File menu to open the IODFs dialog. Select the work IODF to which you want to migrate your input data and click the Import button in the Cfg. Statements section.

Note:
  1. This HCM dialog offers the same services as the functionality implemented in HCD on the host. For detailed information required to fill the HCM dialogs, either refer to the HCM online help or to the topic Migrating input data sets using the HCD dialog in z/OS HCD User's Guide.
  2. This task just changes the IODF on the host without updating the associated HCM configuration file accordingly. Therefore, HCM will perform a resynchronization when opening the configuration the next time.
