Accessing licensed books on the web (z/OS)

z/OS licensed documentation in PDF format is available on the Internet at the IBM Resource Link® Web site at: 
http://www.ibm.com/servers/resourcelink

Licensed books are available only to customers with a z/OS license. Access to these books requires an IBM Resource Link Web user ID and password, and a key code. With your z/OS order, you received a memo that includes this key code.

To obtain your IBM Resource Link Web user ID and password log on to: 
http://www.ibm.com/servers/resourcelink

To register for access to the z/OS licensed books:

  1. Log on to Resource Link using your Resource Link user ID and password.
  2. Click on User Profiles located on the left-hand navigation bar.
  3. Click on Access Profile.
  4. Click on Request Access to Licensed books.
  5. Supply your key code where requested and click on the Submit button.

If you supplied the correct key code you receive confirmation that your request is being processed. After your request is processed you receive an e-mail confirmation.

Note: You cannot access the z/OS licensed books unless you have registered for access to them and received an e-mail confirmation informing you that your request has been processed.

To access the licensed books:

  1. Log on to Resource Link using your Resource Link user ID and password.
  2. Click on Library.
  3. Click on zSeries.
  4. Click on Software.
  5. Click on z/OS.
  6. Access the licensed book by selecting the appropriate element.
